Pupil Voice

As part of our pupil voice, children were asked to apply for the role this year. Here are some quotes from the KS2 children who applied for pupil voice positions:

Some responses from our applications for Pupil Voice
Why do you think you would make a good  Pupil Voice  representative?

Because I care about everyone and I help people in all situations. I want everyone to love school and have a good time, just like me :)

I will set a good example to other students, I will listen to all concerns and suggestions that my classmates have and put them forward at meetings

I think I will make a good pupil voice representative because I can help the school be more enjoyable by helping everyone.

Because I would like to make this school a happier and enjoyable place where everyone can be friends

What skills or qualities do you have that would help you in this role?

So my strengths are helping people and making people laugh 🤭 when they are run down

I have a good friendship with the receptions and I have been a active champion so I know some toys we could use

I have good communication skills, I am very confident, a team player and a good listener

Caring, the ability to cheer someone up and I like to help people when they are struggling.

What ideas do you have for making our school a better place?

Anti bullying projects led my students, buddy systems to help new pupils settle in.Fun theme days or charity days

A safe hub. Where people that feel sad or depressed or need time on their own can go

Some ideas I have include a different range of after school clubs so pupils can try new things. Another idea is people can choose is they want to help receptions, they could lead them to they classroom show them where things is and how things work at Stanton.

Welcome to the very first edition of The Stanton Scoop! We are delighted to share our brand-new school newspaper, written entirely by our brilliant Pupil Voice representatives. This publication celebrates the wonderful learning, experiences and achievements happening across our school, all told through the voices of our children. Each article reflects their thoughts, creativity and pride in their year groups. We hope you enjoy reading their stories as much as they enjoyed writing them. Thank you for your continued support, The Stanton Pupil Voice Team
