HOLA MEXICO!

The children enjoyed their ‘Hola Mexico’ Topic Enrichment Day. What fantastic costumes! Well done :)
They completed a wide variety of activities such as designing Day of the Dead masks, creating piñata’s and food tasting. They tried Nachos with Salsa, Guacamole and Sour cream, Chilli Con Carne and Papaya – to name a few!

We will be using this experience to inspire our writing over the next 2 weeks persuading an audience to visit a Mexican restaurant.

The jalapenos went down well!!!?

Talk for Writing

We used our text maps to re-tell the Greek Myth 'Monster in the maze'. We also worked in groups to deepen our understanding of the text through drama.
