Hi Red Foxes! Happy New Year!

I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and lots of presents from Santa.

I am really sad that we can't be back together in class today as I am already missing you all very much! However I know you all understand how important it is for everybody to stay safe at the moment! I know home learning may be difficult at times but I have tried my best to plan some fun learning activities for you to complete this week. I am really looking forward to hearing from all of you soon, so please email me to share any work that can't be handed in on one of our online learning platforms or if you have any questions.

**If you struggle to access your accounts for Education City, Purple Mash or Times Table Rock Stars because you have misplaced your login information, please email Miss Zahra or Miss Disney using the email address listed at the top of our class page and we will send this information to you ASAP. You will need these to access your learning activities each week.**

Most of the work I have set this week is through Purple Mash so you should get an alert on the day that the activity is outlined on the 'Home Learning - Week 1 - Red Foxes' document, which you can download below. If you need any support with the work that I have set or experience any problems, please contact me via email and I will do my best to support you ASAP.

Here are some activities you can do at home if you are waiting for test results:

  1. Read your school book and practise using the reading skills linked to your homework question this week.
Alternatively you could read a chapter from one of the online books on Purple Mash and complete the reading quiz.

  2. Practise your spellings until you are confident and have a go at using them within a sentence.

  3. Practise your times tables on Times Table Rock Stars.

    Roman Topic Day!

Take a look at the photos from our Roman Day. In the morning we had lots of fun making Roman Catapults for our own battle. In the afternoon we put our new found knowledge of Roman Gods and Goddesses to good use and made our own Top Trumps game. A huge thank you to all the parents for making or providing costumes for the children. They all looked fabulous!

    Roman Topic Day

    Hi Foxes,

As part of our Topic we will be having a Roman day on Wednesday 16th of December. Feel free to dress up as a Roman soldier, warrior, god or goddess. Myself and Miss Zahra will be dressing up too. Please do not feel that you have to purchase a costume, you can always fashion a sheet into a beautiful toga.

    Can’t wait!

Rememberance Day in Red Fox Class.

    Geography Topic Day

Our Geography topic day began with learning about human and physical geography. The children then created their own surveys in small groups which they used during their walk around the local area. We saw lots of features during our walk and the weather was beautiful too. We finished the day with learning how to create sketch maps.

Red and Grey Foxes have been working on developing perseverance within PE.
